Well I did the Hybrid project!! I wanted to go a little more hybrid then I did, but I also wasn’t too sure of myself and wanted to make sure that these turned out since I *AM* a host of this party and I didn’t want the party favors to be a bust… so I took it light… however, I did have fun and I can TOTALLY see myself doing another Hybrid project again soon!!

For this project I made gift boxes. I bought the clear boxes. I filled them with pink and white candies since she’s having a girl. I made the tags inside using a CK font and Blythe Evans Glamouriffic V.1 Papers. I put the words Welcome Alivia! and 9-7-08 (date of the shower) on them. I should have maybe added an embellishment, but again, unsure of how the printing would work, I didn’t want them to be cut off. So this was a first time trial for me!! Then I wrapped them with a ribbon and tied a small deco baby bottle in the ribbon. The end result is a small little gift box that each person can take home. I had to make a total of 18 of them. I’ve been busy here with back to school. I’ve found a little time to scrap though. Today my YOUNGEST started school and it was his first day. As heartbroken as I was, I was also excited to see him reach this milestone. He very much needed it. He had a great day and he can not WAIT to go back!! That makes it so much easier on me! I’ve been trying to do some CLEAN layouts lately. I have no idea if it is working for me or not. I love my cluttered look!! Just so happened to be my favorite, but I do like these pages. Again here is this one at DST with credits. I certainly need to do some GIRLY pages now… These boy pages have me over the top with BLUE. LOL!!

I have a baby shower this weekend for Liz & Mike… my god daughter Alivia.  I am looking forward to that and I have to get the party favors ready for that. I *MAY* attempt a hybrid project there… We will see. It would be my first ever, but I have to see if I can find STAR cookie cutters first. So I am headed out shortly to do that.
